Pamela Werts knew at age 19 that she wanted to make people laugh. When her father asked what she wanted to do with her life, she replied, “I want to be a stand-up comic”. His reply? “Not an option”. She decided to follow her desire years later and never looked back. Since then, Pamela has been a finalist in both Rochester’s Funniest Person Contest and Syracuse’s Unforgettable Comedy Challenge She won Comedy Central New York’s ‘Cut the Check’ contest and has recently performed at Caroline’s on Broadway. Pam produced a successful all-female show in Rochester, NY and now co-produces and hosts “Chicks are Funny”, a successful monthly all-female show, at Syracuse’s Funny Bone. She has opened for such comedy giants as Richard Lewis and Judy Gold. She has featured for such acts as Moody McCarthy (Letterman) and Dean Edwards (SNL). Pam is also a comedy writer for Rochester Woman Magazine.
